 A vibrant and stylish large oil by Derbyshire artist Sheila Harvey depicting a canal lock with reeds and grasses in the foreground. A scene very familiar to Midlands residents, where there are many overgrown and disused canals which now have a tranquil charm. Typical mid 1970`s style with a strong abstract design element and a retro feel, with a more restrained palette than her current work.
